Mendel University in Brno warmly invites you to participate in the Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) on Sustainable Horticulture – Shaping the Future of Green Landscapes: From Lab to Field, hosted by the Faculty of Horticulture. This unique programme combines short-term mobility for both online and physical components. The physical sessions are scheduled from June 22 to 26, 2026, while the online session will be held on June 16, 2026 and July 7, 2026. Designed only for students.

What can you expect?
This summer school offers an engaging learning experience focused on current challenges and innovative solutions in the selected field. Participants will gain valuable insights into contemporary trends, practical approaches, and sustainable strategies, combining academic knowledge with hands-on activities and real-life case studies.
The programme connects current scientific knowledge with practical examples from professional practice, field visits, and interactive sessions. Participants will develop a deeper understanding of how theory can be applied in real-world contexts while strengthening their international cooperation, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Online part
- a collobarotive digital space for students to present their own research projects or final theses and receive expert feedback
Face-to-face part
- Provide students with a comprehensive overview of the Faculty of Horticulture’s key research areas and academic excellence.
- Develop practical knowledge through direct collaboration with leading researchers and experts across specialized departments.
- Offer behind-the-scenes insights into innovative fields such as biotechnology, landscape architecture, and sustainable horticulture.
- Create opportunities for academic exchange and professional growth for students at bachelor, master, and PhD levels, connecting theory with advanced practice.
- Theoretical knowledge is put into context through excursions to exemplary facilities and unique landscapes across the South Moravian region.
