Mobility with Academic Staff
Conditions
Development of internationalization is one of the main long-term priorities of MENDELU. Strategic goals of the Internationalization of MENDELU as part of the fulfilment, foreign trips of academic staff with students are supported. The purpose of support is to increase the quality of educational process of bachelor’s and master’s students (acquisition of practical skills that would not be possible to acquire in the Czech Republic), to connect MENDELU students to the foreign scientific community and also to represent the university abroad.
- Trips of at least 5 bachelor’s or master’s students accompanied by an academic. PhD mobility is not allowed under this programme.
- The minimal duration of the internship is 30 days (an accompanying academic may be replaced).
- Applications are submitted through the Contact Center based on a published call. The selection process takes place in two rounds – pre-selection and then a personal interview. Students submit a CV, a motivation letter and a project outline of approximately one A4 page. The project should be based on a bachelor’s or master’s thesis assignment.
- The monthly scholarship counts CZK 20,000 regardless the destination plus IRO covers travel expences to/from destination.
- The accompanying academic is reimbursed for living and travel expenses from IRO resources.
Administration
Student mobility is administered in the same way as an lnternship abroad. Selected students must:
- sign Dohoda student to be able to receive plane ticktet fully covered by the University
- submit Travel Proposal in the UIS
- pay the insurance
- sign the Financial Agreement before departure
Mobilities planned in 2025
Applications must be submitted via the Contact Center by March 31. A complete application includes:
- CV
- Motivation letter
- A summary of the student’s project proposal (max. 1 standard page) in English.
By April 11, students will be informed whether they have advanced to the second round. Pre-selected students will then be invited for a personal interview in English. Each student may apply for only one mobility program with an academic staff member.
