On the occasion of the global event Africa Day 2023 the conference Innovations for Africa´s Future Generations was held in Prague on May 25, 2023. The event was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in cooperation with African embassies in Prague. The event also marked the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the founding of the Organisation of African Unity, the predecessor of the African Union. Africa Day is perceived as a celebration of parallel unity and diversity of the African continent.

Dastan Bamwesigye from Faculty of Forestry and Wood Sciences gave a keynote speech and discussion on “Enhacing Research Cooperation through Science diplomacy”. Faculty of Regional Development and International Studies was represented by Lenka Zouhar Ludvíková, Samuel Antwi Darkwah and Martin Schmiedl.
