The International Relations Office of Mendel University in Brno is pleased to announce a call for applications for students of the Faculty of Business and Economics and the Faculty of Regional Development and International Studies to participate in the Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) at Fontys University of Applied Sciences (Netherlands), one of our partner universities within the HEROES consortium.

The program’s topic is “Understanding (Y)our World“. This programme ifocuses on understanding the geopolitical, economic, and cultural forces that shape today’s world. Students will work in international teams to analyse the influence of key global regions on business, society, and politics, while addressing a real-world societal challenge proposed by an organisation from the Brainport region. The programme is delivered using the Challenge-Based Learning (CBL) approach.

The BIP represents a new form of mobility combining virtual and physical learning. The physical part will take place from January 18 to January 22, 2027. The virtual part will be held before the physical part in the first half of January 2027 (to be confirmed).

Application Requirements

The application process will run from September 24 to October 25, 2026, and includes the following:

• A motivation letter
• Indication of whether this is your first international experience
• Oral language examination in English (to be held from October 26 to October 30, 2026)
• Evaluation of the relevance of your study program to the BIP theme

Financial Support and Additional Conditions

Participants will receive a daily grant of 79 EUR and travel expenses.
